The Dengue NS1 antigen (Non-structural Protein 1) test is part of the dengue profile test and is used to detect the presence of NS1 antigen in the patient's body. It is a protein produced by the dengue virus and can be detected with the NS1 Dengue test in the early stage of infection. A positive test report confirms that the patient got recently infected with dengue, likely in the last 7 days of the test. However, a negative test result does not confirm that the patient is not infected.
