Autoimmune Hepatitis is a condition where liver inflammation occurs due to our Body's own immune system attacks liver cell.

Our Autoimmune Hepatitis Panel has been designed to cover the following tests:

1. ANA (Anti-Nuclear Antibodies) by IFA:
An ANA test is a blood test that looks for antinuclear antibodies in your blood. Antibodies are proteins that your immune system makes to fight foreign substances, such as viruses and bacteria. But an antinuclear antibody attacks your own healthy cells instead. It's called "antinuclear" because it targets the nucleus (center) of the cells.
2. LKM-1 by IFA:
This test looks for a certain type of antibody in your blood. The antibody is called liver kidney microsomal antibody. Hepatitis is a condition in which the liver is inflamed. Some types of hepatitis are caused by a hepatitis virus. But this test checks for antibodies to a type of autoimmune hepatitis.
3. AMA [Anti Mitochondrial Antibodies] by IFA:
Antimitochondrial antibodies (AMAs) are an example of an autoimmune response that occurs when the body turns against its own cells, tissues, and organs. When this happens, the immune system attacks the body as though it were an infection. The AMA test identifies elevated levels of these antibodies in your blood.
4. ASMA (Anti Smooth Muscle Antibody) by IFA:
ASMA stands for an anti-smooth muscle antibody test. It is a blood test that is used to detect autoantibodies, i.e., antibodies formed by your body to attack your body cells. ASMA detects autoantibodies made against smooth muscle cells, often in the liver.
